Excellence Is Not An Ambition.
I’ve been considering for a while about the best way to promote my work with reputation and the answer is actually simple. Constantly add value and do an awesome job with every individual that I work with.
Management guru Tom Peters wrote that excellence is not an ambition, it’s the next five minutes. It’s that simple and still we spend a lot of time complicating things and put so much into readymade concepts that has been around for a while. Maybe we should pay a little more attention to the saying of the Dakota Indians:
”If you are sitting on a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount. You could try to switch the rider, try to feed it or look at how other tribes are dealing with their dead horses, but the best strategy is still to dismount”
