Crisis Management Is Always Too Late.
There is a scandal going on in one of the biggest unions in Sweden with possible implications for the Foreign Minister. Crises- and PR consultants are being called in or interviewed in the newspapers. They say that they now are doing the right things according to the book, but perhaps doing it to late.
In my opinion they are doing it much too late waiting for a crisis to start before acting. Being aware of the importance of their reputation means having a constant focus upon how you act which will prevent you from entering into these circumstances in the first place.
Warren Buffet said that it takes 20 years to build your reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that you’ll do things differently.
